Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2025. Operated by Play Forge Labs Pty Ltd (ABN 24 668 726 645).

1. What LeadPost is

LeadPost is a business-to-business service that monitors publicly available NSW planning approval data (Development Applications, Complying Development Certificates, and similar approvals) and, on your instruction, posts branded physical letters to property addresses associated with those approvals on your behalf.

The service is operated by Play Forge Labs Pty Ltd(ABN 24 668 726 645), trading as LeadPost. References to “we”, “us”, or “LeadPost” in these terms refer to Play Forge Labs Pty Ltd.

References to “you” or “the customer” refer to the trade business subscribing to the service.

2. Letter credits — prepaid, non-refundable, no expiry

Letters are purchased in prepaid credit packs. Credits do not expire and are not tied to a subscription period. There is no recurring subscription charge unless you purchase a renewal pack.

Credits are non-refundable once purchased. This applies whether or not the letters produce enquiries or jobs. We will not charge for letters that fail to send due to a verified error on our part — we will credit your account instead.

3. Pricing and GST

Letter pack prices are displayed on the pricing page and at checkout. All prices are quoted inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise. Play Forge Labs Pty Ltd is registered for GST. A tax invoice will be issued automatically on each purchase.

We may change pricing for future purchases. Price changes do not affect credits already purchased.

4. Territory exclusivity

For each trade niche (e.g. pool fencing, landscaping) and suburb combination, LeadPost offers exclusive territory: only one customer per niche per suburb will have letters sent from that postcode. Territory is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis at the time you activate your region.

Territory exclusivity applies to automated LeadPost sends only. It does not restrict you from marketing through other channels, nor does it guarantee that competing tradies will not market to the same addresses by other means.

5. Your responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate business details (name, ABN, phone, address) for use on letters. You are responsible for keeping these details current.
  • The letter content sent on your behalf must be lawful. You must not include false or misleading claims, unlicensed services, or any content that violates applicable law.
  • You authorise LeadPost to print and post letters using the template and content you have approved during onboarding or subsequently updated.
  • You are responsible for holding any trade licences required by law to offer the services described in your letter.

6. Our right to refuse or pause

We may refuse to send, or pause the sending of, any letter or batch of letters that we reasonably believe:

  • contains false, misleading, or unlawful content;
  • would violate Australia Post delivery standards or applicable law;
  • could expose us or you to material legal or reputational risk.

If we pause sends for a reason within our control (not yours), we will notify you and either resolve the issue or credit affected letters back to your account.

7. No guarantee of results

LeadPost provides a letter-sending and data-monitoring service. We make no guarantee that letters will produce enquiries, quotes, or jobs. Results depend on your trade, location, letter content, market conditions, and other factors outside our control.

Planning approvals data is sourced from public NSW Government records. We make no warranty as to the completeness, timeliness, or accuracy of that data. Occasional gaps, delays, or errors in the underlying public data may occur.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian consumer law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific credits to which the claim relates.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss (including lost revenue or missed jobs), even if we were advised of the possibility of such loss.

Nothing in these terms excludes any consumer guarantee or other right that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Pausing and cancellation

You may pause or cancel your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing team@leadpost.com.au. Pausing stops new letters from being queued. Credits remain in your account and do not expire.

Cancellation closes your account. Unused credits are forfeited on cancellation and are non-refundable.

10. Data source acknowledgement

Planning approval data used by LeadPost is sourced from the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment and related agencies under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence (CC BY 4.0). This data is public record and contains no private contact information belonging to homeowners.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify active customers by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
